VERY COOL !!!
I have been there when I was in East Anglia. The site is Awesome when you think it was all built by hand. Can't wait to see how your castle takes shape. Best Regards, Gary |

Gary, thanks very much, yes you're right, what a feat of manual hardwork and engineering, it must have taken quite a while to build up the motte!
It might take me quite a while also to design and make a paper model of it, I will start with the keep first and then try to work on the surrounding motte and bailey. Regards Clive |

Clive.
Good luck with the project. I hope you won't mind me adding the following..... A few years ago I had a calendar with 2d pictures of opera houses. They looked just right for a 2d picture. I even bought card in all the right colours..... and that's as far as it went. The pictures are all 10x10 inches and I even managed to find the calendar amongst my "filing". I also like making Christmas cards by layering an appropriate picture using small sticky pads. I look for wrapping paper with good pictures, this way I can get almost endless pictures for very little money. Here are a couple of pictures. if anyone is interested in an opera house I can send a close up photo - my scanner isn't big enough ;-( cheers Mike |
