Okay, thanks very much. Yes as you say there certainly is an opportunity to use a lot of layers.

VERY COOL !!!
I have been there when I was in East Anglia.
The site is Awesome when you think it was all built by hand.
Can't wait to see how your castle takes shape.
Best Regards,
Gary

Gary, thanks very much, yes you're right, what a feat of manual hardwork and engineering, it must have taken quite a while to build up the motte!

It might take me quite a while also to design and make a paper model of it, I will start with the keep first and then try to work on the surrounding motte and bailey.

Regards

Clive

Clive.

Good luck with the project. I hope you won't mind me adding the following.....

A few years ago I had a calendar with 2d pictures of opera houses. They looked just right for a 2d picture. I even bought card in all the right colours..... and that's as far as it went. The pictures are all 10x10 inches and I even managed to find the calendar amongst my "filing".

I also like making Christmas cards by layering an appropriate picture using small sticky pads. I look for wrapping paper with good pictures, this way I can get almost endless pictures for very little money.

Here are a couple of pictures. if anyone is interested in an opera house I can send a close up photo - my scanner isn't big enough ;-(

cheers

Mike
