Hi all!
A small update on this building report. Udo Kallina, the designer of the model, posted on my german forum a set of additional pieces as a free download. These include the planters, a street lamp, a mailbox and a flag post. I printed the pieces and I added them to the model. Here you see the construction progress and the final result. Cheers, Tommaso

I thought it was great, even before these additional details. It is even better now.

A very charming model. Nice neat build. Out of curiosity, do you know what the object that looks like a pedestal table mounted on the roof is?

Thank you!
@ rockpaperscissor, I don't know, maybe a chimney? It's clearly visible also in the original: Dahenfeld Rathaus Cheers, Tommaso

I confirm is a siren.
This type con be found in the south part of Denmark. They are probably older type while in the rest of the country are smaller and very strange looking. Se attached picture. The sirens are part of the national warning system and are the first warning to the population about risk situation, for example a case of serious air pollution. The sirens are placed on tall buildings or high places in urban areas with more than 1000 inhabitants, and can be heard by 80 % of the population. The rest of the population will be warned by police cars with mobile sirens. All sirens will be tested once a year with audio - the first Wednesday in May at 12 a.m. In addition they are tested each night without sound. Remember if you are in Denmark tomorrow at noon do not be alarmed by the sound of sirens.......it's only testing. |
