Thanks Papercaptain and A. Perling for your info. I did go back to the original photos on your early thread and found the full name and recognized the ID model. It just didn't register with me when I saw it on the page with the "real things". The name on the photo came through as something else. It appears to be wonderful model and a great place to visit; however, it is out of the way for our upcoming trip to Southern France. Another time - so much to see and so little time

Very nice. Looks compicated.
Good pics of the model, especially those with the little people.

Hello Adolf - It is good to see your wonderful postings again. Your new posting is following one of my postings over five years ago. How time flies. Your model of Palace of Popes is beautiful. It is a wonderful model of a fascinating and historic building. We certainly enjoyed our visit there several years ago.
When the staff began choosing my models for the current exhibit of my models at Catholic University of America library, one of the first that they chose was the Palace of Popes. It is in a large case outside the gallery of the library, along with the Domus model of St. Peter' Rome. Keep posting your beautiful models. Great to hear from you again. Thomas |

Dear Thomas! Yes, the Pope's Palace in Avignon is a special building with a very interesting history. I was inspired by reading the novel "The Ring of the Fisherman" by Jean Raspail. It is about the great occidental schism. Kind regards Adolf

In my collection of cardboard models of the publisher L' Instant Durable
I would like to add three more models that I have built in the meantime. Under other headings I have shown them before. Nevertheless I think it makes sense to show them again here in the collection. So they are now all gathered in one place. CITE GALLO ROMAINE DE GLANUM |
