Dave Graffam's Mermaid Tavern-Winter Edition

My latest completion is Dave Graffam's Mermaid Tavern, one of two models Dave also presents in a "winter edition" with suitably-seasonal texture layers. Here we have the Mermaid during a lull in winter, with snow scattered on the boardwalk and roof-tops and ice clinging to the window eaves. One can imagine that inside, a cheery fire waits to welcome and warm mariners who've been wresting a living from the cold sea.

The kit couldn't be easier to build, with clear instructions. Mine is mounted on a foamcoare base, and is downscaled to HO scale. The kit includes several extras- a couple of traveler's trunks, a crab trap, and an outhouse.

A fun build, spaced over a couple of evenings.

Excellent. I always appreciate Dave's table for re-scaling.

Wouldn't have thought about doing the snow option, neat idea. Good build. That would look good in miniatures gaming scale.
