Dutch Windmill
Some of you may wonder what happened to my medieval project. I had to put in on hold for a while - more in the other thread later.
In the meantime I built a Windmill. My wife and I have recently returned from a cruise on the Dutch canals and rivers and one of the places we visited was Kinderdijk, and not surprisingly, the shop was selling kits of .....windmills. I say selling although I guess it should have been "holding" kits. The shop didn't show any surprise when I started sifting through their small heap of kits - I finaly bought seven - almost half their stock - the rest were duplicates of those I bought. As you will see, the colouring is quite "primitive" which helps when you are a sloppy painter like me. The whole thing went together well and only took a few evenings. Cheers Mike |

Hi Mike
Very nice model and nice build. It's always good to see some typical Dutch buildings or in this case a dutch mill. I have some old kits from LS and i will build some of the mills in the near future. Looking forwards to see more of your kits.

Well Mike,
So you were only a few miles away of my home... You could have stopped by to get a coffee! ;-)) But you still have enjoyed our little wet lands? Greetings, PT |
