Thank you Bengt, as for now I have only build the pumphouse, which still needs to be textured and colored. I have been looking for a plan of the dock. But for this model to be of the size the Titanic model is, it needs to be resized about 300% smaller.

But it is the plan to build the dock and put it in a diorama containing both Olympic and Titanic.

Well picked up this project as well as others, I am working on several projects at the same time at the moment. Sadly, as with the Baltic model, the parts sheet has been lost in my last computer crash. I did have the designdrawings stored elsewhere.

So I started texturing them, and we'll see where we go from there..

Hey Jerry!
Looks like an interesting project! I love those 19th century style brick buildings. The textures look great! Now, if I may ask, what program(s) do you use? I'm at a point were I need to make a major decision about the programs I use to create my models and I would like to know what works best for you. Again, I think this is a great model your working on!
George

Hi George, Thanks for your reply.
Actually the Belfast pumphouse was build between 1903 and 1911, making it and early 20th building, but that's okay.

For this project I am mainly using Coreldraw X4. It is a very expensive programm to buy new. But I got myself a secondhand version for a fair price. It is a great programm working all on the same screen, unlike for example paintshop which puts every layer in a new screen. The programm is great for drawing out models, but it does not have to ability to design 3d and unfold designs. I also use paint and photo editor as side programms

Jerry! It's almost 19th century Looks great regardless. I really like the style and your doing it justice. Thank you also for letting me know what you use for design work. Looks like I'll be a Corel user too before long. George

Thanks George and Joe,

Here's another preview after some hours work last night:

George, the Coreldraw program is a nice program to work with, at first you need to figure out how it works, if you get it, you can explore and find new possibilities everytime. Like I did with texturing this project.

Jerry
