very nice models indded. I have some of these found years ago as free download, but to compare the real thing with the model gives them more credit.

Beautiful models all. I too have some of these as yet unbuilt. I have them lumped in with my lighthouse folder - I thought many of them were lighthouses. What is the purpose of these observation towers? We have many less elaborate towers in the USA that were used by forest rangers for early detection of forest fires (probably use satellites for that now).

Our observation towers have only one purpose - to visit and look around from the heights around.
Modern observation tower created so that mobile telecommunications operator to build a pole as it equips bonus point for looking around.

I hope I am not misunderstood here. Your models are fantastic. The one thing that gets to me is that people the world over do not appreciate our historic treasures. They believe that if it is elevated, it should be a cell phone tower. It's a shame that they have converted these landmarks into cell towers. Okay, I'll step down from my soapbox. It isn't a case where complaining would probably do any good anyway.
