More Lighthouses
Hello,
last days I finished some small lighthouses. The first is St. Agnes Lighthouse of the Scilly Islands. This is a free download of Papershipwright and it's a really enjoyable build. Greetings Dieter |

Gribbin Head Daymark
Hi Miles and Tim, thank you.
@Miles: I used a part of plastic cover, used in offices to keep your letters or other papers in. Hi all, again a new lighthouse. Okay, it's not a lighthouse, but a daymark, a landmark or sign for the seamen to find a save harbour. It's the Gribbin Head Daymark in Cornwall (UK) and about 25m high. This one is also a free download from Paper Shipwright. A fence around the tower is still missing, I'm thinking, how to make it. Regards Dieter |

Burnham-on-Sea Low Lighthouse
Hi all,
one more: The Burnham-on-Sea Low Lighthouse shows the way to the harbour of Bridgewater in Somerset (UK). It was built in 1932 and is still working. Again it's a free download of Paper Shipwright, the scale is 1:250. Building was easy, all parts fit nicely together. It is a big fun to do these nice models. I'm sure there will follow some more. Regards Dieter |

You have definitely mastered the art of Lighthouses!
I've know David H for more than 20 years - before he stated on lighthouses. There's a small group in London who have dinner - now and again. The topic is generally models and David kept us up-to-date on his progress with Trinity House - the government office responsible for almost all the lighthouses in the UK. He had to get their written permission to make the kits..... A few years ago my daughter was sent a postcard from Burnham - with a picture of the lighthouse and she sent me a scanned copy - she knows David. I sent the picture to David and within a few hours - he'd made the kit! As your pictures show - his crisp computer style is just right for Lighthouses. He has permission to make kits of all the Lighthouses, I look forward to seeing more of your models in the future !! Cheers Mike |

Hi Mike,
thank you for the background of this nice model. And my best regards to David, when you see him next time. Hi all, this time I start with a lighthouse of the other kind: The Lightfloat No. 3 from Paper Shipwright. This one replaced a manned fireship. The scale is 1:250 and it has to be printed on a single sheet of DIN A4 paper. First I started with the skeleton of the float. Regards Dieter |

Very nice builds. Does the Gribbin Head light have its fence yet? The lightfloat is an interesting model. Do you have plans for a display base to show it off on?

Hi Don,
thank you. I didn't finish the fence now, I have to buy some pieces of clear overhead plastic sheet, then I will print the fence on it. I will show a picture here of the completed tower. Hi all, some more steps with the light float: the main hull is attached. Even with it's curved forms it fits nicely together. Regards Dieter |
