White card paper villages

For the last few years I have been designing (and selling) very small scale fold-up paper village sets. It has been a lot of fun as I do enjoy designing. I am not worried about photo realism of detail and these projects are intended for use as miniature sized glitter house Putz buildings.

They are pre-cut sets with perforated fold lines.

These little buildings have a lot of character.

Richkat, I set up a storefront on the website Etsy. If you are not familiar with Etsy it was designed as a site where artist and craftsman could sell their original work.

Don, glad you like their character.

Pretty - they remind me of pop-up cards a lot!

The build instructions for one of the kits above. It is pretty obvious how they go together for anyone experienced in paper modeling especially since I keep the number of pieces to as few as possible on these micro sized structures. However some of my customers are not into paper modeling and basically are beginners so they want step by step hand holding. Creating instructions is my least favorite part of the process, I always drag my feet on it. I always order the sets that have multiple buildings so the easiest ones to build are the first ones in the instructions.

Making instructions is one of my largest stumbling blocks, I feel your pain.
Would you ever consider offering these as a .pdf download? I have always wanted to make a realistic miniature town and these would be perfect. I would first paint them digitally. Something to consider maybe?

Those are remarkably clear instructions, Karin, and enjoyable to read.

I have ordered my first set of buildings and look forward to constructing them.

Looking forward to seeing more of your innovative paper models.

One of these years I will offer them as downloads. But that is likely a lot of years away from now.

I can paint them digitally myself but as they are meant to be very small glitter houses I have not done so. Its a stylistic thing, those miniature buildings were rarely detailed other than overlays around windows and doors. It is on my list of things to do to offer a colored version of them but not for another year. I used to do some architectural illustration. My job was to do the digital color work

Just to clarify, I didn't mean "free" download.
