Chernobyl

Hello all, is there a model of Chernobyl nuclear power station out there? If so what scale and how well detailed? If not would there be any interest in one? I want to build one as a tribute to those affected (and eventually would like to do most of Prypiat as well) and would like to build a model of the plant in 1:600 or larger. Big model yes, but this is something I feel I need to do.

nope no model of Chernobyl

but over on Kartonmodell-Forum | Portal
Thomas Pleiner has uploaded in the members model section a copy of his 1300 MW Nuclear Power Plant.

You could design it in the style of Disaster Dioramas
Spitefuls: [Disaster Dioramas!]

I am curious as to why you want to model something like that

For the same reason we all build models, the same reasons I am building USS Jarvis, or Mark is doing HMAS Sydney. Why is Chernobyl any different?

And thanks for the link and ingo, looks like I'll have to design my own Chernobyl.

I would make a Chernobyl if it was small like Micromodels size. But it is not the most interesting of atomic reactor buildings either.

Chernobyl it effect some of my family. They have then to move from near Russia to the far South East to Kerch.
