Great looking model. Congratulations on completion. Adding yourself was a nice extra.

Hi Erik,

I am Ricky, the designer for the model you purchased & made. Found your post through a Google search. It's wonderful to see someone else making the model, & to see that it is so well assembled!

Love the way you customised the model with the Boon Tat sign & your paper mini...
Thank you for sharing your pictures & I hope you have a wonderful time building the model. I'm looking forward to your next shophouse model.

By the way, may I share your post here in my website?

Wishing you a wonderful 2016 New Year!

Best Regards
Ricky Soh

Hi xpsg,

Nice to "meet" you in this forum. I am also not aware of any Singaporean who are into paper modeling locally. Saw your blog, amazing paper models!

If you are so inclined, we could have coffee together & talked about our hobby.

Best Regards
Ricky Soh

Hi Gunter,

Are you the one whom I met many years ago when you came to Singapore? I remembered you bought my first model.

Hi Ricky,

Thank you for your kind words and Happy New Year to you too. Yes, you may use pictures/posts on your website, no problem. I intend to build the other model this year so you may wish to follow the thread I will start by then. Thoroughly enjoyed building the model.

I'm not sure if I will be visiting Singapore coming summer, but perhaps nice to meet up then. I would be interested if you have new architecture projects at hand. As you may have noted, I have a special connection with Singapore as my wife is from Ang Mo Kio and I'm absolutely crazy about those colonial black and white bungalows. So if you ever decide to model one of those, I'll buy it.

Cheers,
Erik

Hi Ricky,
you are right, I saw your model in the heritage center in Chinatown and we met in your office.
This year we are not visiting Singapore as we have been there last August to Oktober. But next year we may go January to march.

Hi,
I just want to inform, that I am building the "Shophouses Part 1". You will find the report here: Singapur Chinatown Shophouses - Bauberichte Architektur - Die Kartonmodellbauer
Sorry, it is in German, I am too lazy to translate in English ;-).
If you have questions, you can ask in English!
It is the older version I bought 2005 in Singapore.
