Ägyptischer Tempel by Schreiber-Bogen

Hi again, Dieter,

You completed your model very nicely, with the interesting addition of an interior with a back wall, a sort of tunnel entrance, and the two pillars - an ingenious solution for more depth in the model.

Btw, I got the new (printed) catalogue from Schreiber-Bogen/ Aue Verlag the other day, and I noted today, that they have a model that I haven't seen before - an Egyptian Temple in 1:300 scale, 46 cms in length.

I found this link for the new catalogue, and the "Ägyptisher Tempel": Schreiber-Bogen Kartonmodellbau
-try clicking on the BOOK, for a text (in German) and the FILM STRIP, for an interesting close-up of the entrance with statues, and an overall look from the rear! There are some similarities with Thomas Pleiner's charming little model. That model would be interesting to build, too.

All the best to you from Stockholm,
Bengt

Hi all, thank you for your nice comments.
@Bengt: I have seen the pyramid and the egyptian temple of Schreiber, may be one day I will order (and build) them.
In the moment I still have a huge pile of unbuild models ;-)

Regards
Dieter

I finished this model two days ago but only discovered this thread today. Wish I had seen it before I started. An imaginative build didibuch, and very well executed.

Hello THE DC,

I've instructed my camerawoman to take some pictures of this temple tomorrow, along with some other Egypt related models (I've become addicted to an old computer game called Pharaoh, hence the theme). I'll post them to my Flickr account in the next few days. The account was only opened recently so there is not a lot on it just yet, but if you'd like to take a look you can find it here:

All the best.
