Egyptian Temple

Hi all,

some time ago I found on Thomas Pleiners website some nice downloads, one of them is this egyptian temple, a free interpretation of the temple of god Horus in Edfu/Egypt.
Thomas wrote, he constructed this kit 30 years ago. Textures look very nice, construction seems to be easy, so we go.

I reinforced all walls, the base-plate and floors with pieces or stripes of cardboard.

Reagards
Dieter

Next steps were the entrance with its pylon.
Behind it we find a courst, limited by two walls. Again I reinforced the walls of the temple itsself with cardboard.

The entrance to the temple-building is only printed, I opened it.

Regards
Dieter

Inside of the temple would be empty, because of the open door I improvised a simple interior decoration.

I printed the first page of the kit a second time and used this extra parts for the door-entrance. The floor was laid out and out of the wall-parts I made two columns.

I think it looks good now.

Regards
Dieter

At last the roofs were attached to the pylon and the main temple building.

The little temple is finished now, its a nice kit and looks very good.

A special thanks to Thomas Pleiner, who offers his construction for free download on his website.

Regards
Dieter

Egyptian Temple by Thomas Pleiner

A very fine build, Dieter!

I also started this build some time ago, and I also cut out the door to the inner temple, thinking I could add something inside. You have done a very fine job with the improvised interior and two pillars, which gives the model an interesting deep perspective.

You have inspired me to finish my model, and given me an idea for an interior! Thanks for sharing, Dieter!

All the best from Stockholm,
Bengt

Very nice additions to the original. They make the model more appealing. Nice photography too.
