George,

That Gazebo can be used (and Modeled) for lots of other things besides All Hallow's Eve festivities; I can think of a couple right off the top of my head...

Another awesome job; and, a Festive Holiday Season to everyone!

OK. After being stalled for over a month, this project is somewhat back on track again. I have a newer power supply and video card in this rattle trap computer I have, so maybe it will get through the winter (fingers and toes crossed). And to think, my wife said, "Toss all those old computers out! You'll never do anything with them!" I remember one of those old commercials from the '70s or '80s.... "Parts is parts". Enough of that.

The co-joined Zimmerman buildings are starting to take shape! I might even get them done before spring!

John & Alan, the gazebo was a hit! I think the wife liked it more than anything else she received this year. It is a 'fairly' simple, one page design. I need to go and tweak a few minor issues, but it was a fun project.

It's late, for me, anyways. I was up at 3:00 am for work and then putting the computer back together this afternoon (and throwing a few walls up on the model), I'm calling it a day! Everyone have a great evening and get some modeling in!!! George

Every time you build a new one, they get more realistic! Looking forward to the finished product.

Just some more bricks in the wall

So far, so good. It's not anywhere close to spring and I got to go in my room and play!

I managed to get all the walls up and the bottoms (I call them bases) in today. After a looong period of not having time (or the computer) to work on this project, it felt downright delightfully sinful! Now everyone knows it doesn't take much to make me happy. I like the result I got from joining the facades together and building the model as one unit. The wall seams are tighter than assembling the buildings separately, but it is a challenge to keep everything lined up as it gets larger. I hope the pictures are clear enough for you to see some of the detail. Now I need to get the sub-roofs on and start adding the façade detailing. Maybe I can start on that this weekend!

That's all I got accomplished between chores today, but I was thrilled to get this far. It's amazing how many things can break, get lost or wear out and need attention when all a guy wants to do is play! My, my, my.....

Hope you all have a Great Day and Model Away! George

These look a lot like the buildings in downtown Carlisle. I really like them.

You have really outdone yourself on the building fronts! The level of 3D simulated views in the windows and doors, make detailing the interiors unnecessary, in my book.
