Oh my, George, what a summer and fall! Land office and beauty shop would look great on a model RR layout and fit well with Grandt Line's structure kits.

Thanks southwestforests.
Thinking about another model railroad layout is what got me into the paper hobby. So far, I'm still having fun! George |

Is it November already???
Wow! That is the only way to describe the past few months without going into a 'R' rating (or ranting).
Just wanted everyone to know we are still kickin' it here in the ole river valley. I had hoped to post this project before Halloween, but the computer rebuild (one that would be just for me and my modeling) took longer than expected. Than I discovered some of my files were lost (several pages from this project). Anyway, I sure hope this rash of electronic and appliance failures is at and end (maybe I need to sage the house again). Here are the walls being assembled for the Haunted House. As you'll note, I changed the coloring and textures of the Farm House to give it a decidedly creeper feel. I need to do the roof file again, that is the last page that I have yet to redo. With the U.S.Thanksgiving just next week, maybe I'll have some time to get this model completed and get back to our block party! As always, let me know what you think! Have a Great Day! George |

Creepy's definitely the word George. I'll be glad when you get back to the block party myself <shiver>.

Outstanding work. Those windows are especially good.
I hope things settle down favorably

It sure has a haunted house look. You've done a great job. Maybe you can find a shutter man to fix all of the crooked, broken shutters.

Haunted Abode Finale
Thanks Everyone!
Thomas, I don't think we could find a trim carpenter that would be willing to set his ladder against a home with such a scary reputation! This one was fun, for several reasons. As many of you know, my wife loves this kind of stuff, so she has gotten a haunted house for Christmas over the past several years (or for Halloween, which is her big holiday of the year). They were the excellent designs from Ray Keim's web site that I re-scaled to HO. She has been on me to design one for her. So, here is the George designed spooky house! A slight re-working of the farm house my Aunt and Uncle(s) lived in, this will be one of her presents this year. There are some changes I will make if I end up doing another one; like adding side and corner trim to give it a more 'realistic' appearance. And I think I would like to add an apparition of some sort in one of the windows. Well, after eating a big Thanksgiving meal, this is how I spent the rest of my day off. As far as I'm concerned, it don't get any better! Hope you all had a Great Day! George |
