I count 90. The way you have them arranged makes it look like a message in some kind of blockish runes. Had to stop myself from trying to decode it.

It's finished!

Cutting, folding and gluing all the spires was a bit repetitive, but quite easy because they were "accurate". I was a bit worried about the fit of the spires between the buttresses. However, only once did I have to adjust the fit.

I even gilded the top of the central spire -well,... I used a gold water colour ;-)

There isn't a lot more to say about the kit - except it's probably Canon's best so far. Thank you Canon for making this Cathedral available.

Cheers

Mike

Well done Mike - that came out splendidly!

You were pretty fast with the build as well!

Nice job. It looks cleaner than I remember it, but that goes back over 30 years...

Mike, what a beautiful model. I like it much better than my Forbicolla Malan Cathedral. . Even though you cut the dimensions in half, I don't see how you were able to add all of the tiny 3-D buttresses and spires.

My model is 3 x 7" x 3" tall, almost the same size as yours Even though it is a lot more work, your 3-D buttresses and spires give a more finished look than 2D buttresses and spires. My parts are just 2 printed pieces of paper glued together.

I wish that I had found the Canon model before ordering the Forbicolla model. I would have made the full size Canon model, but it is too late now. I have too many models that I want to make instead of a second model of Milano Cathedral.

Thanks for sharing.

Mike, wonderful build. If nothing else it is a credit to your patience and persistence...all those spires and not one fairy elf secretly helping at night !! Congratulations.
