Hornfeld Schreiber-Bogen

I thought I'd share a few admittedly poor photos of my completed Schreiber Hornfeld model. This is the smallest and simplest of their fantasy castle range. I bought it a couple of decades ago, built it several years ago, and finally got around to taking a few pics. I colored the black and white paved courtyard piece with markers, but otherwise the model was built as published. I mounted the building on a piece of foam insulation board with a carved "rock face" in one corner. The tree is from another Schreiber castle kit. Static grass and some kitty litter completed the groundwork.

Looks good. Nice addition with the carved foam and trees.

Thanks, Doug. In retrospect, I could have made it more interesting if I used a larger piece of foam board, and made a sloping, curving carriageway that leads up to the entry tower. I'll make more of an effort on the next one. I have a few of these little castles that are still unbuilt, and a big piece of foam board.

This is a great little diorama, Don! I love little castles like this, both as models and in the real world.
