Schattenburg Feldkirch/Austria
Hi all,
like Raimund (rkelterer) this march I built the Schattenburg from Austria, too. At first I show some pictures of the kit. Regards Dieter |

And now the finished model of Schattenburg in Austria.
It was a great fun to build this nice castle, I enjoyed it very much. Regards Dieter |

Great looking model, really good photos. I'm really coming round to appreciating model buildings.

A very nice and interesting model. I have one question; in photo #2, is that a series of steps coming down from the upper part of the castle or is that some sort of drainage system?

I saw that too and thought it might be the servants' entrance

Hi all,
thank you for your nice comments. @missileer: That are really steps. The castle had some hidden escape-doors in several walls. In old times they were used with a ladder or rope, I think the stairs were added later for convenience. Regards Dieter |
