Hi ricleite!
I'd like to improve my own model building skills, so I have a question for you: What's your method for folding pieces at 90 degree angles? I tend to get ugly edges, but yours look just perfect. What's your method? Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work!! |

This looks great.
I really enjoy seeing this kind of architecture. Mike |

@ Kazik - almost whatever the angle, I make an half-cut (maybe more than half, on GPM's very thick paper ), fold 180º, press the fold line with a nail, in its entire length, in order to close and smooth it, paint with a suitable color pen and unfold partly, to get the correct angle. As you see, the method is pretty effective.
@ Mike - thanks Moving on, the pictures show the towers already in place, some more buildings and two large side roofs. I removed the tabs from these roofs and, instead, put L-shaped paper strips to the main walls. They served as shelves and it is much easier to drop the roofs onto those shelves than otherwise… |

Thanks, Romanmodels and George
The kit includes a few parts for the altar. It is the only modeled inside element and gets somewhat lost. Having an open structure and base helps to keep it visible. |

Kacik & Ricleite. I use a half-sheet cutter, which is a chip of ceramic like is used in fine cutlery incased in a piece of plastic. It has a flat bottom with the chip protruding below and is made to cut out something from a newspaper and won't even cut the page underneath it.
I have used it successfully on my model of "Le Thoronet" abbey from Le Insane Durable. Just use a straight edge to as guide,to make the cut, then bend it over and color the edge. I use posit notes or painters tape on each side of the cut to mask the printing and it makes a clean straight job. Cheers, Bob |

@ Bob - thanks for the tip Frankly, I am so used to the knife that a more sophisticated approach, maybe a bit trickier to use, might not make a big difference. It is just a personal view, of course...
The buttresses were easy to glue, including those that stay at wall angles. I added the details to the top of the buttresses after adjusting the main roof. They are very fragile and an accident could always happen… |

Adding the entrance, the model is complete. Only the final pictures are missing, but not for long!

That entrance looks tricky. Nice job
