Crowdy head.

As the lighthouse is taking shape, I began with the foundation/wall works for the keeper's cottage, a "scratch work". The cottage was demolished as early as 1923, when the station was automated with the AGA system.
I tought it would be nice to build the lightstation as the original (pre-1923). The material is scarce, mostly from Tacking Point, Ballina and Fingal head. The remains of the cottage, btw, are still clearly discernible.

Looking good Marco.

I watch and eagerly await the next installment.

The result is a beautiful little lighthouse.

Thanks Darter, Group B,
after more than a week's break I've resumed the work on the cottage: The doors are almost ready, the "masonry" is on place (and I forgot to taper the backside of the kitchen's fireplace!) next work are the windows, a cutting work to which I am not looking forward to...☺

Now, after a break, I resumed the work. Windows and doors are on place, it's time to start with the roof and work on the lighthouse goes on...

Hej Kevin,
the cottage is a "scratch" based on pictures and plans I found on the www. The lighthouse is a kit from Shipyard.
