Nice build - It is well worth the effort.

I made a base from 2X1 timber! When we moved it went in the skip, along with quite a few other models;-(

Congratulations

Mike

You did a great job on this model!
I lived in Prague for three years. I greatly enjoyed myself there and this model brings back all of the fond memories.

Thanks Pat_Craft, Gotham, Mike, Mike and Rhaven Blaack (glad it made your day a little brighter )

This is the kind of model you start off with all smiles, but as time goes on and another section needs to be built, you have to start forcing yourself to continue and finish it. Right now have plenty of space in the house to display, but don't know what I'll do if I move. I seem to like the large models!

Glad you like them Fred 'cause you sure do a bang-up job on them, to include your latest two from Prague. Sorry I didn't comment on them, been kind of busy what with completing a house move and other real life things. Are you planning another build thread any time soon?

Thanks, Elliott. Just completed another model and have photos ready to go.

Trouble is that the power went out on my computer at work yesterday during a storm. Right now it's in the shop for repairs. Will find out in the next day or so if it is repairable. Do have a Time Machine backup just in case.

Wow, great build. Would like to see ir live . I saw scaled down version (scale 1:1083) (Papírové modely, galerie papírových modelů) recently on paper convention. Even at this scale it seems quite big for me. So this one must be piece of furniture.

If you want a big kit - try GPM's Wawel castle - It's a nice kit. I made it years ago and it ended up in the same skip as Prague ;-(

One big kit to keep away from is Glanum Roman town by Instant Durable. It looks good but putting it all together is like fighting a bag of eels

Thanks bigpetr.

When I scaled it, I didn't really realize how big the finished model would be. The Budapest Parliament building I did a while ago was also scaled roughly to 1:325. Halletoren and The Brussels Marketplace and Town Hall both at 1:303, The Beijing Drum House and Sagrada Familia both at 1:300. Like that scale. Big enough for my fingers to handle the pieces. The latest model (photos soon) is at 1:6.5.

I've looked at Wawel castle and Glanum Roman town and thought about getting both of them. By the way, we Dutch like eating eels.

Also have that very large book, the Medieval City. And then there is always the SD 14. Keep looking at the 6 boxes and keep saying, "Maybe another day."

This hobby is very addictive once you start.

Can you help me

Fred, I'm trying to build the B block and I'm having a problem with the end where B1 and B4 join. If you have any close up shots I would sure appreciate them along with any build suggestions.

I had no problems with the A block.

Thanks,

Roger Cousineau in Tucson
