St Peter's Basilica - 1:200 - Schreiber Bogen
I wasn't gone, I was just hibernating...
I have landed a great new job in Accra, Ghana, so the evening & weekend workshop is open again. Since I have enough space, I'm going for a big project that I've been itching to get started on for some time: St. Peter's Basilica with St Peter's Square, one of Schreiber Bogen's largest kits. The end results will be 114 cm long. And LOTS of columns and other fiddly bits to produce.

And here is the frame of the basilica. Lots of parts to strengthen with 1mm carboard. I will not yet use all of the floor plates!

114 cm long? That is going to be big!
Looking good so far. Looks like lots of fiddly bits to cut and fold.

Looking good. Start with the easy bits then find the hard parts later, when it's too late to give up ;-)
How many statues are there on the colonnades ? I hope the good job came with a big house. Cheers Mike |
