Thanks Miles.
The lantern is aprox. 8" x 15" . I think there are some kids watches out there that are about the right size to fit.

By chance. Is this the clocktower based on the old video game with the scissorman? Sure reminds me of it.

I really do not know.
You would have to talk to Mauther about that.

Good day all.
I know I have been tardy in getting this update loaded. Completed the landscaping on the diorama. Added the gravel and grass effects first. Doing small sections at a time and working my way around the base. Next the base was drilled to mount the trees, then glued into place. With the trees in, it was time to add the rocks and shrubbery. Again, for theses pics the mountain scenery is just set in place and not glued. With the landscaping finished, it was time to get the lantern ready to accept the model. First was to cut a tube for the wire feed for the light and drill the base of the lantern to accept the tube. For the lighting I'm using a 3 led strip which will be glued to the inside of the lantern and the tube is painted to match the lantern. Then to drill the base for the switch and power entry. Then to wire it all up and test. I'm adding a felt base to the lantern, so also added internal supports for the base. The model was then glued into place inside the lantern and the backdrop finally attached. This is the final lighting test before the final pics. Here are the final images of the completed diorama. Last Saturday was the birthday party for my Sister and presented it to her. She loved it. Thank you for following. Questions and comments welcome.
