Clock Tower Diorama

Good day.
For a birthday present for my sister, I decided to do a little dio.
I picked the Clock Tower by PaperMau.

It will be mounted into a candle lantern and the lantern will be lit.

the first thing that was done was to mount the base and all the pieces for the background onto black foam-board. Because of the 3D effect for the background and as a solid base for the build. The base was extended beyond the back of the base to accommodate the mounting of the background.

The background pieces were then cut out and assembled.

The background is not glued down to the base yet, as the base and background together will not fit through the door of the lantern. It will be fastened down after the main part of the build is glued down into the lantern.

Next up was to start the construction of the wall around the building and the water feature.

On to build the water feature. I originally wanted to add acrylic water effects, but I tried several different products and each lifted the ink on testing. so abandoned that idea, for now.

Next is to start on the main building.

Thank you for following.
Questions and comments welcome.

I didn't realize it was this small, or did you reduce it to fit the lantern?

Fantastic idea

Hi Vermin King.
It's the original scale. Didn't have to reduce it at all.
Thank you.

That looks like it will be a great present. All lit up, too.
Did you try spraying the ink with a fixative to keep it from lifting?

Was I the only one expecting to find a DeLorean and Doc Brown in this Diorama?

Good Evening all.
Started work on constructing the main building.

Starting with the construction of the cloister, as it will be housed inside the main structure.

Then worked on assembling the main building, only assembling the front and sides. Leaving the back open to make it easier to install the cloister.

Closed in the back wall. When I test fitted this part of the building onto the pad, I found that the pad was inverted to the building and the mounting point for the tower did not align with the front of the building.
Imported that sheet into PS and flipped it horizontally and reprinted it.
Laminated it on top of the existing pad and mounted the main building into place.

Started on the construction of the lower half of the tower.

When dry installed it into place.

With the lower tower in place,it was time to close in the main building and add the roof.

Now to start on the upper half of the tower. I will build this as a separate unit, to be sure that the main diorama will fit through the door of the lantern.

Upon test fitting, the whole thing fits through the door no problem, and proceeded to attach the upper tower. It's easier out side the lantern anyways.

I can now move on to the landscaping.
Did a test fitting of the trees, to see how they looked.

Thank you for following.
Comments and questions welcome.
