Have you seen the Armor-Stiner House? Another Octagon house, but with a dome roof. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q...se&FORM=HDRSC2

Monika,
I am a bit late with my "welcome to the forum", but it is still sincere. Very nice model and an attractive style of house. From the coin, it appears to not be a large model (added attraction). Could you tell me the diameter of the model? |

Here I stand with a red face. I did not read the title of the first post. I will chalk that up to my advanced age.

Dear Monika:
Yes that is the outside of the opera house it had offices on first floor and the big open room on second floor. it really was a multi purpose room they had town hall meetings, Plays opera lectures balls, When it first was moved to the museum I figured that it could hold 10 Quadreel sets 4 couples per set total of 80 dancers and a 14 piece band on the stage. I am still hoping that when it is complete the museum will let me hope a reproduction ball in it. In the spring I will visit the museum and will take lots of pictures of the opera house and any others you might be interested in. Miles |

Another Octagon house
One of the few Octagon houses built in the western US is in my hometown. Built circa 1852-1857, the Silas Martin Octagon house near Petaluma, California is, to the best of my knowledge still in the Martin family.
There is additional information and photos/drawings here. |
