Ravensblight lighthouse

Just a quickie from yesterday. Ravensblight's project: THE LIGHTHOUSE

The take off.

The rock.

The tower.

The full thing plus electric works. Used two 3V white LEDs fot that.

Let it shine.

I later added a base with and imitation of water (will add a photo in the evening.

It shines but the light is week, however -as you can see; looks good in a rather totally dark environment - most probably the LED were to weak and the paper with printed windows on it wasn't as thin as I thought it was. Will remember in the future to use different media for that purpose.

Thanks for the attention.

Great job. It's a simple, but very atmospheric model. I can't wait to see how you handle the watery display base.

Hello guys, thanks for all the kind words.

I haven't ddecidded what to do with the base yet - so far there is just water - I used crinkler tisse for that, painted it a bit and covered with water glue.

This is what it looks like right now.

Whatever the decision is, I'll need to make some waves - most probably will use some silicone for splashes, paint and then cover with glue to make is shiny.
