Cape Hatteras Lighthouse
I created this as a home-décor decoration for the wife. Is there any interest in seeing this developed into a full card model kit?
What scale? The largest size that will fit on 8.5"x11" is about 1/165 scale or about 14"-15" tall. How detailed? I doubt that a full interior would be worth the effort, but a clear light chamber with dual Fresnel is certainly doable. |

a common ship scale is 1:200 and 1:250
so if you make something that size, some ship builders might want to add the tower to a diorama

Definitely interested having spent many summers on the Outer Banks.
Common ship scale seems reasonable.

Thank you for the replies. I may pursue developing this into a full kit, but it looks to be pretty well covered already.

Nice looking model and I like the size at 15". Moving to the beach soon, just south of there, and wouldn't mind building one for my wife.
