Lookout near Plzeň in the Czech Republic

Hi all,

Milan Novobilský constructed this nice model of the lookout on a small hill near the city of Plzeň in Bohemia / Czech Republic.

You can find the free download here:
Kontakty - Výtvarný a restaurátorský ateliér NM

I printed it two times, cut out windows and doors to build them recessed and give it a more 3-dimensional effect.
The roof is a little tricky but everthing came together very smooth.

Regards
Dieter

Here some pictures of the finished model.

You can find some pictures of the original tower here: Rozhledna Chlum

and here: Rozhledna na Chlumu u Plzně

The small hostel was removed some years ago, but a planned hotel not built until today.

Regards
Dieter

Very nice. Looks sort of like a lighthouse.

Hi Doug,

it seems funny, but you are right: The first years (about 1930) there was a navigationlight on the tower, for airplanes :-)

Dieter
