After completing the interior texturing I have built a new model with removable roof and open (shoji) panels/doors to showcase it.

And here from the ground view where I have separated the two modules, so you can look inside :-)

Street side view ...

... and garden side view!

If you want you can also build it "fold-flat" so it can be disassembled after use and stored safely.

That is another Japanese building done I have a couple more planned later. A tea house and a "head Samurai house" and maybe later some town buildings. The to-do-list never grows smaller it seams!

Nicely done indeed. The variety and quality of your work only gets better as time goes by. Always look forward to your next post(s) to see what the future has in store.

Glad to see you back from your hiatus. Great progress and the fold up house is a great idea.

I wanted to clean up my display shelf where I store the buildings I don't want to discard or store fold-flat. So I had to temp relocate a part of them to the living room (with the promise to my dear that I will take them back again)

They look much more this way! :-)

All is well now that I have put them back into the shelf in the work room again :-)

I still have some more plans for buildings of this era but I am starting to plan for other things, like the pirate ships and also other cultures village builders...

I really enjoy making these and am even happier when you guys like it to!

Cheers,
Chris

Great looking town you have going there. Once a year Christmas display, like a certain Disneyland ?

I'll cover it in powdered sugar and call it winter then :-)

Need to work on a nice large terrain mat next for a suitable "land" to put stuff on!
