Well, as a commercial creator I have a big interested in making potential customers happy!

For me using layers is a huge bonus for designing models. This way I can pack a lot of variations into a single page of a model. I would have to make a lot of pages without it. So when I learn that some cannot use that I have to think what to do about it.

I do hope that someone will fill this software void on Android. On the one hand I understand how designing and maintaining software esp on multiple OS platforms needs a very strict approach. And when your solution turns out to be harmful on a platform it makes sense to disable that functionality. But in this case I had to shake my head when I read about it. I have read so many posts about people wanting that functionality back on Android.

I will try this Foxit reader and see if that works. Thanks for the tip!

Chris

Here is a little WIP of the next building I am working on. I am calling it the "elders house". For this one I am adding "engawa" (veranda or porch).

This a concept sketch. The building will be made out of the main building and optional engawas along the long side. Also there is an extension.

The main building is raised and the floor usually had tatamis (rice straw mats). Only the honoured "VIPs" were allowed via this entrance. The ground level extension had dirt floor where one would cook or do woodwork or similar dirty work. The entrance here was for the commoners.

Here is a first look of a textured version of the raised building with one engawa!

Looking forward to continue the texturing and adding some variety layers and the extension building :-)

Chris

Interesting model. You must have an interest in things Japanese. Is the Japanese sailing ships project finished?

I am planning to do a Wako pirate ship one day and maybe a Chinese Junk. I don't know when it's finished There always seems to be more ideas coming into the to-do list!

Here is a little diorama I made with the new building once I got the extension done.

Bucolic, briefly.

Visual appeal of model is high, the lines, the hues.
