Hi Remko,
I've just started the same model. What are your thoughts on the quality of the kit? I'll be following your pics whenever I get stuck . Danny |

[QUOTE=Remko277;616858]This weekend I finished the model. It was one of the most complicated models I've build. There's no written manual to follow, only a few very detailed illustrations as you can see in the first image here. It's hard to see where the lines go into the model. When I first saw these pictures I thought omg how am I gonna do this... But in the end, all pieces fell into place..
May I extend my most sincere congratulations. Let me tell you that after several years build card models of all types, including two extremely difficult: Schreiber's Vatican and El Escorial, I tried to make the Sydney Opera House and after several weeks, I gave up. Extremely bad instruction drawings all very confusing and being an extremely complex structure, it deserves clear drawings and perhaps some written explanation. Schreiber did a wonderful job with the Vatican and El Escorial instructions, so it CAN be done. Very clear and strictly numbered with no guesswork. Again, congratulations. Perhaps you could write Schreiber and make some detailed instructions for the model? Maybe they would pay you well!!! Pete |

I have always been intrigued by this Schreiber model because of the complicated shapes. Interesting to note the internal structure. You have done a very great and neat job Remko. Nice backdrop, just like the real thing.
I have visited the Opera House once in 1999 (oops, already 20 years ago) and was amazed by its size. You need to be in a good physical condition to climb all these stairs . Wasn't the Opera House once the setting of the famous Crowded House concert "A farewell to the world" back in '96?? Cheers, Erik |

If the Schreiber model had really nice step by step illustrated instructions, everybody could build this beautiful model.
