@ Kevin - yes, it is rolled paper. I prefer it to other materials because paper is always available for (almost) any diameter and I can use the same pens and glue.

The generator makes an interesting assembly. The large cylinder is hidden and, as I made a continuous rod, is very hard to expose again.

I got my DVD from Thomas yesterday, been review it, all I can say is WOW very detail kit.

I am not about to build it right now. It is not the number pieces that worry me.

I took it out and had a good long look at it, and the size of the base puts me off at the moment. I don't have the space.

If I had the disc I would build the 1/700 version quite happily, but alas I only have the piece of paper that says it is coming one day!

@ Dwayne - right, the kit is extremely impressive and I suppose that you didn't yet see it printed!

With so many things assembled, it is fit to put everything together. The pipes will be next…​
