The reactor pool sits below the main floor level. The other wells will take the lower section of the steam generators shown in the third picture.

Ricardo, this is a stunning thread. And the model is awesome, too.

Thanks, SinanPacha
The reactor pool cover is detachable and includes a small (relatively…) rolling crane that makes an interesting assembly. |

The rotating crane is, even at 1/350, a substantial assembly, full of fine detail. I added 4 rolled paper pins, below, in order to center the crane and still allow it to rotate. The place I have to store the completed model is not deep enough and the base will not be horizontal. Without the pins, the crane would not hold in a sloped base.

Today’s pictures show some buildings inside the confinement wall. I added floor parts in the steam generator buildings. The idea is to make the covers detachable. Without the floor parts, the remaining assemblies would be very fragile.

Wow, beautiful! What a finely detailed model and so wonderfully built. Really looking forward to see the end result one day!

Thanks Erik There are still many buildings left to do...
The main steam piping is made of small sections, as usual in this kit. I had to make a few cuts in the walls (closed later) in order to put the complex shaped pipes in place. |
