Frauenkirche Dresden
I apologise for the wrong angle of the pictures. I tried various ideas but none worked.
This seems to be a popular kit. I guess it's down to its great design. It is a complicated kit with all the small embellishments but it's worth the effort. There will be no prizes for guessing this is a Schreiber kit and it stands 34cm - just over a foot tall. There's little I can add to other threads on the same subject, but I would like to mention the interior of the real building - it's magnificent! Cheers Mike |

Mike, nice looking church model.
About the photo orientation. If you do a mouse over to display the attachment then click on the sideways displayed picture the resulting display will be in the correct orientation. Seems to be a fluke of the forum software.

Thanks Doug - I wouldn't have thought of that. What is as odd is that if you click on it again it doesn't re-orientate but just gets bigger ;-)

in the future, drop the resolution of your camera, around 4-8 megapixels, anything larger and the forum will rotate the image
that is the only fix I have figured out to prevent the rotation

Mike, you did a great job on one of my favorite models. I made mine several years ago before visiting Dresden.
In fact, you suggested a wonderful restaurant directly across the street-Ontario Canadian Steak House. I even give you credit for the recommendation of my webpage about Dresden - see cathedralquest.com and under adventures click on Central Europe 2011 and then Dresden Day 6. We had a great meal thanks to you. We also enjoyed very much the Frauenkirche. They did a remarkable job of restoring it after it had been bombed. I know that you had fun making the model. |
