Love your rendition of the windows and their tracery, nice painting as well.

More Wells again.

These windows are drawn three times the size of those on the model itself -I still have not got my reading glasses ordered yet. The big window is the eastern window of Well's quire and the unfinished ones - finished now - are the ones on the north and south side of the quire. I shall soon be in a position to start the test assembly of the first new model of Wells Cathedral.

More Wells again.

Sadly, since I last posted stuff on here, my irreplaceable mother died after a long illness borne with enormous courage, God Bless Her. Now that I am no longer her carer, I can devote as much time to my work as I like and as a consequence, the model-kit of Wells Cathedral is now progressing quickly. Here are some photographs of the construction of some of the Eastern parts and some of the art work which makes them up. There's one of me pondering the latest drawings.

Sorry to hear of your loss. This sort of thing is alway tough.

Keeping busy is the best medicine.

The model is looking good.

Have you visited their library there? One of the places that still has original "chained" books.....

Rupert, my condolences to you on the death of your mother. She and you are in my prayers tonight. May her soul rest in peace and light perpetual shine upon her and the Lord give you strength and courage in the days ahead. Peace, Thomas

PS - I enjoyed seeing your photo - you are so much younger than I thought for a man of your great talent.

That is so kind of you all. I was really privileged to look after her and to be with her when she died. I will dedicate the new model of Wells to her when it is finished. She and my dad visited Wells when Dad did his national service in Weston Super Mare during the fifties. Dad also did an exceptionally fine drawing Wells Cathedral: he was an engineer by profession but at heart, a very gifted artist. This is his drawing.

More Wells

Heartfelt condolences from the US.
Your drawing are quite lovely. I look forward to seeing the entire piece. Thanks for posting your father's drawing of the west end. It is so very nice.
