Time Flies
Wow,
It's been a little over 2 months since I last posted. Took some time using photoshop and converted the school house parts into what could be the English Village Train Station. It has some problems as does the Wheat a bix train. I'll keep them for now until they get "messy" and d-laminate. Then re-do them. Going to have to either draw my own track set or maybe find some on the internet. I have a "Britannia Class Steam engine ready to test, and some freight cars that need coloring in photoshop. The green on the passenger car needs some adjusting, it's way too dark. Church should be starting soon for Christmas, but I've got to finish something special for a very good friend first. Jeff |

Hi DT,
I follow this thread when I can, but have a quick reminder for you as this problem has come up before that you might be unaware. If you use the tracks from Japanese websites they represent a 'narrow gauge' track that's 1067mm wide in real life (also in the Philippines), whereas 'standard gauge' for most of the world is 1435mm so they won't be compatible. That's not even considering 'wide gauge' like in the former USSR. Looking forward to your new stuff! |

Thanks for the tip. I have set my track width as well as the train car wheels for 3/4"
The Canon creative park site has some good tracks but as you you have already said, are most likely the narrow gauge. I'd have to make an enlargement of.the parts. Seems tempting to take photos of my HO scale tracks and might be more trouble some to scale them. The Original wheat a bix trains are simple four sided open bottomed models that kids and beginners can do in a 1/2 hour. My redrawing of them have two pages of parts. I am still revising the freight cars to simplify the bogie wheels yet not look so flat. |

Church
With the excitement of the holiday's here, I was able to get some
model making time in for the last building of the Kelloggs English Village. Parts have been cut out and are almost ready to be glued together. Roofs should be glued on by Christmas Day. Used a Frosted Mini Wheats box this time. And I'm going to have to reprint the "Choir"/Sacristy roof again too. More to come. Jeff |
