Worms Cathedral -Germany
June 2017, when I was asked by the Library at Catholic University of America in Washington,D.C. to display my cathedral models ( https://mullenexhibits.wrlc.org/s/cathedrals/page/home), they provided a separate display cabinet for me to show a model under construction. I chose the Schreiber-Bogen model of Worms Cathedral in Germany because it would fit nicely in the display case and was an attractive model to show the building process. It created a lot of interest in how to make paper models and hopefully attracted some new builders of this wonderful hobby.
Since I have now completed most of the Tiny Ireland models ( I still have 8 more kits to make) that we saw on our visit to Ireland this June, I decided to finish the Worms Cathedral, which we visited in 2007. A remarkable opportunity Thomas. I can think of no one better qualified to make the most of this. I remember your Agony of the Dormers several models ago. Unfortunately I cannot bring to mind which model it was. Old(er) age slowly but surely crept up on me when I wasn't looking.

Elliott- I,too, an getting Old(er) just had my 80th birthday in May, but I DOremember the Agony of the Dormers. It was Escorial near Madrid in Spain. It had 733 dormers. Worms has only 59. Not too bad. Last edited by Tomdaviesclay; 06-30-2018 at 09:13 PM.

Hi Thomas,
your cathedral looks very good, impressive as a model, same as in real life. I remember from my model the dormers were no problem: they are small, but fit very nicely. I will watch your progress with great interest. Regards Dieter

Nice! I enjoy your website as well. I've just started my first (of several planned) cathedral model; will start a build thread once I'm far enough along. Up to this point, my architecture modelling experience has been limited to 1/300 Minibox models-- this is really different! And big!
