The extra struts, flag pole and Dutch flag with the orange banner are missing from my copy Fine work, as always, and I'm looking forward to see the final pictures.

Alright then gents, thanks for your kind words. It's been my pleasure and now it's time to show you the final pictures of this very enjoyable build. On a net basis it took me almost five months to complete the model.
The last bits and pieces are done, such as cutting the sides of the base plate to alter the orientation of the model and applying a coat of varnish. I didn't spray with matt varnish but applied the smelly stuff (keep the windows open for ventilation!) with a 1cm wide flat brush. Spraying would result in a true matt surface and applying by brush leaves a bit of a shine, very close to the original print, and more attractive to look at. Hope you enjoy the pictures. As the days are dark and short and I needed artificial light. Used two different cameras: the first 15 pictures with my iPhone 6 look somewhat yellowish, the remaining 5 were taken with my son's Panasonic Lumix and color wise look more realistic. Well, see for yourself . Cheers, Erik |

Thank you Ab and Philip - I'm happy with the end result and can only recommend this model to any architecture fan on this site. The whole array of smaller buildings surrounding the church make this an interesting build!
Cheers, Erik |

Congratulations Erik, on completing this truly magnificent model. I have enjoyed very much following your progress. You should be very proud of all of the extra touches that you placed in it.
We would like very much to see this church in person which means that I would order the kit tomorrow, but we are a little unsure about health issues that would prevent future travel. We have been looking into river cruises in Belgium but most are sold out. We could fly to Amsterdam to begin at trip, and go early and take a side trip to Haarlem. I'll keep you informed. I have been working on the Polish Peace Church for some time and am still a long way from finishing it. I have slowed down a lot lately. I still have many, many models of churches that we have visited that I haven't built, they take priority. Congratulations again....as the saying goes "you done good". |

Thank you Thomas and Kurt, best of luck with your builds!
It's a big church and I found a sturdy plastic box to store the model. Cheers, Erik |
