Ville Savoye-Poissy (Le Corbusier)
Hello friends
My second model of the villa Savoye, in Poissy France, of the master Le Corbusier. In this villa the 5 points of the architecture of the master are reflected. But they are not Kill Bill's. Free download here https://cp.c-ij.com/en/contents/CNT-0021207/index.html Regards |

THank you very much, eatcrow2
You are very kind 1) Le Corbusier’s real name was Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris (b. 1887, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland); he adopted the nickname in the early ’20s as a nom de plume for his writings in the magazine L’Esprit Nouveau and maintained it also as an architect; his paintings were initially signed Jeanneret, thereafter Le Corbusier, or L-C. The nickname, and its shortened version Corbu, originate from the French word corbeau (raven) as an allusion to the physical aspect of their owner |

Very beautiful indeed. I'm not a fan of this type of architecture but model is superb.

Another nice model build from that Canon collection. You did a real good job. That site has some interesting models of buildings from all over the world.

I had a try at building this model myself some time ago, but got disheartened when I found more difficulties than I had bargained for. So I can only congratulate you for finishing it and for making such a good job of it too.

Hello Philip
I guess it's not an easy model, in fact it's even more difficult than the Ronchamps chapel, which I also did from CANON. However there are tricks to finish it quite well If you try again, ask the difficulties and I will answer. It is very important to follow the assembly order exactly The type of glue is also important, not all are of the same drying time I use white glue for wood and paper; slow and fast drying Greetings and thanks for the comment |

Hello Llaut,
Thanks to your gentle encouragement, earlier today I recovered my unfinished villa from it's dusty hiding place and now I'm contemplating a resumption of building works. Why not? Incidentally, there is a tiny model of Corbusier's Voiture Minium motor car which might look good parked outside: https://mikespapergarage.jimdo.com/p...iture-minimum/
