Water Gate Sneek - Netherlands - Leon Schuijt

Water Gate Sneek Netherlands - Leon Schuijt
Hello

My next project announces, it goes back to architecture.

The water gate of Sneek in the Netherlands is being built

This is a beautiful hand-drawn bow with slightly stronger colors. But I will do something to make it more pleasing to me.
On two A3 sheets there are about 80 parts to find, as building instructions, there are short passages in Dutch and small building sketches of individual segments.

On a soon to start construction, and friendly greetings

Kurt

Looks like a nice architectural model to build. The structure itself looks very pleasing, the model should turn out nice.

The best of luck with this one. I'm very interested to see what you make of it.

And a Happy New Year!

Ah, this is youth sentiment, one of the models I built when I was twelve or something. Looking forward to your build, Kurt. Viel Spaß!

Cheers,
Erik

Hello Friends of Water Gate

Here we go …

Part 1, glue the water surface ... on 3 mm Finn cardboard. I do not like the design of the water, because I will change something about it.
Part 2, the bridge, here too, the colors are too bright, so the paving stones are colored with gray wax crayon ...

With the scriber I copy the individual surfaces on 1mm reinforcement cardboard.

Yours sincerely
Kurt

Also in Sneek it goes a bit further ...

To connect the dots, I get the single reinforcing parts ... after kinking and coloring edges ...

... glue in the reinforcing elements ... prepare side parts 3 + 4 ...
... and glue to the sides ... Part 5 prepare the vault

With kind regards
Kurt

That’s the thing with the older Léon Schuijt models, the colors are too bright. Good thing you tone them down like this. Keep up the good work Kurt!

Hello Erik ,
yes the colors are a bit shrill, but that's no problem.
The model itself is very appealing, that has a lot of charm.......
