Hello Rupert ,
I am Looking Forward to see the first pictures of your new projekt Hello ! After ten days of cycling holidays in Istria, the Dom construction site continues again ... Now it's time for a first interim review. The individual segments of the church are now finished and assembled loosely. Now follow the cloister and outbuildings. The parts 35 to 38 make up the first outer walls of the cloister ... Since the spaces between the windows are very narrow here, I refrain from putting back this one. Glue the roofs to the outer walls ... then install the inner walls Yours sincerely Kurt |

Kurt. You are a master builder! When other people buy my model-kits, I often refer them to this site so that they can see how it is done!
I can't wait to see how you do Ely and Wells. |

One more thing; why do the English, the Germans, the Austrians, the Czechs and now the Poles like my model-kits so much?. And yet... the French, Italians and Spanish have NEVER EVER bought ANY. AT ALL! Maybe it's all those long, dark nights and cold days we have to endure. I was forgetting the North Americans too. They love them too but getting the models there is very expensive.
Is there a Scandinavian market do you know? Swedish in particular. I have not seen anything on here as yet. |

Never thought about it that way, but it makes sense. During sunshine season I rather go outside but during the cold endless nights of winter building stuff is a great way to spend time. Kurt, great building progress as usual!!! Chris

Hello Rupert,
I think your style of drawing the cathedrals appeals to the people. In the digital age, more and more people want to go back to things done with their own hands. And exactly your cathedrals fulfill these requirements, thank you Rupert! When I next order I have already received inquiries from three modelers from Slovakia, as soon as Liechfield is ready I will order again. Hello Chris, I can only confirm your statements thanks and best regards to all viewers on this planet …. Parts 45 and 46 are glued inside the cloister ... with the small annex 47, the cloister is finished for the time being. Annex 50 with the roofs 48 and 49 ... Attention! Here is an asymmetric floor plan ... ... which adapts exactly to the adjoining parts of the building Yours sincerely Kurt |

This is looking very good but I would expect nothing less than this from you.
I have now started gathering data for a new model of Lincoln Cathedral. I shall be going there next week. Also, I shall be going to Gloucester to do some painting: in the cathedral and at the historic docks where there is to be a big gathering of tall ships from around the world. Have you given any thought to using a subtle green paper when you do the grass? That is what I do but it does take quite a long time and a lot of glue ( German UHU of course ) |

Stunning paintings Rupert - you are really capturing the small church atmosphere so well - like in the first one in the last two you posted.
I like the one with the font as well...

Hello Rupert ,
Maybe we can see some of your watercolors from Gloucester. I will use litter material from the railway model for the green but now continue ... The next outbuilding (part 51) is being prepared ... and put together ... as well as placed, until now all parts are put together only loosely Yours sincerely Kurt |
