Thanks, Fred and David
The detail set includes laser cut card parts (0,5mm thick) for the handrails on the tower top. However, they are not as pretty as the textured parts provided in the “basic” kit. So, I ended up cutting those parts and sandwiching the laser cut parts between them. It is a task to be dealt with very calmly... The roofs have no formers, making assembly tricky. I added a hollowed square former at the base and an octagonal former just below the window level. As a result of the opened windows, the assembly is fragile and must be handled carefully. |

The second tower is very similar to the first one. So, there is no need to “repeat” the pictures. However, the detail differs, mainly at the upper sections.

The first picture shows the method used to stabilize a rather peculiar cross section with concave surfaces. The detail set includes laser cut paper parts. The problem is that they are plain black! I used them as reinforcements for the colored parts.

Thanks, friends Yes, this is not an ordinary kit!
Another tower and the same top detail. Two assemblies out of 15 is not a lot but I guess that these two are the most labor-intensive of the whole kit. |

The Cathedral’s main entrance is a lovely assembly, full of detail! The second picture shows an extra tab that served to place, and fix, the curved section between the other two.

As in the towers, the structure laser cut frames fit very tightly! There is almost no need to put glue. By the way, any excess of white glue that might curve a former would be a disaster for the assembly. Such a complex structure is hardly indispensable but it makes the assembly both strong and stiff. The cross formers are aligned not to interfere with the recessed windows.
