Has anyone ever made a paper kit of the St Augustine Lighthouse? Just curious, Cheers, Ian |

If you mean the lighthouse in St Augustine Florida the answer I fear is "no". Fiddlers Green have not done it in their range and I don't remember coming across one while trawling the web.

No but I have climbed it! (my knees are still weak)
It's just a few miles south of me, I could put it on my, "to do list" if someone hasn't already done it..

Ian, I had thought about it the last time I visited but I wasn't sure if there would be a market for it, scheduled to head back to St. Augustine soon, I'll give it a, "second look" when I get there, is there a specific scale that you are looking for?

Fred,
Not really, I figure maybe if it was 16 inches tall I could work with it. Not sure what scale that is, but at least I can see it. LOL! Cheers, Ian |

Looks like I could do a few tweeks to my Cape Hatteras lighthouse and have a credible St. Augustine version. I'll look into it.

That would be 1/125 scale.

More like 1/140 Scale
A quick layout reveals that he largest scale that will allow printing the conical tower on a single sheet is 1/140. Height is listed as 165', and this would give an overall height of 14.14" (360mm) plus the spire.
Looks quite do-able. |

The light house is 50m high. (Wikipedia )
The model is to be 16" or or 406mm (close enough to 400mm). 50,000mm divided by 400mm = 125, thus making it 125th scale. Or exactly, 50,000 divided by 406mm = 123rd scale.
