Lighthouse Ar-men Bretgne - 1: 150 - ABC

Hello

It is time again to build a small intermediate model.

My choice fell on the Breton lighthouse Ar-men, which holds the position lonely 30 km off the coast.

The sheet from the ABC publisher is printed very cleanly, the 66 components are distributed on two A4 sheets.

The water surface is glued on 3 mm Finn cardboard, the side edges are dyed dark gray and sealed with glue.

Yours sincerely
Kurt

Hello Kurt. There's no stopping you, is there? Another one I'll be following.

Hello friends off light houses

let's go ...

Parts 2 to 4, the foundation, I strengthen the bottom plate with 1.5 mm Finn cardboard
The toll parts, glue step by step to the foundation

Yours sincerely

In the rounding I reinforce with cardboard strips ... Thus, the round area of the foundation against the surf is prepared
Now the foundation is glued to the base plate

With best regards
Kurt

Kurt - Interesting approach.

Nice printing and artwork on the model as well.

-------

For sea bases like that I sometimes just brush some of the thick acrylic gel media to give the water a bit of texture. You can do that after the final varnish of the model if you want the gloss effect.

Here is an example where I used this on the Falling Water House model I made... Quick easy sea effect and it looks right as well for the scale you are modelling in...

hello Kevin ,

your water looks very fine , I do it with white glue at the end

Now the tower ... with the frames

Due to the reinforcements, the tower can be easily put on, as well as various attachments ... above the crane boom is mounted

With best regards
Kurt

Hello, it's time for the final ...

Below as above, the railing is now glued

The last two parts ... and already the lighthouse warden is rowing around his tower, and that by calm sea

Thus, the simple but very beautiful lighthouse is finished after two days of construction with ten hours of construction.

A truly successful paper model

With best regards
Kurt
