They are quite different from what we have here. But I like the look. It looks more positive and bright than I would have expected.

I am starting to work on the headstones for the graves. Here's a little overview showing the different options so you can print lots of different ones!

You have different shapes, "content" (R.I.P., symbols, epitaph texts) and then some visuals like moss and frame element.

I am looking forward to start building some

For the headstones I have made some bases in the same way I made them for the paper minis, just adjusted the length and slot position. And if you want a little enclosure around it I made another part just for that.

Once I have built a couple of graves I put them on a test grid and I think they look quite nice. Have to build some more for my large map

If you don't want the thin headstones but double them up to give them some mass, then I also made an adjusted base version for them as seen in the last pic.

Next I am going to work on the mausoleum/crypt entrance building. And continue to build my army of graves!

Here's pic from the prototype of the Mausoleum building. The core building will be very simple but can be "upgraded" with ornaments. Same goes for the raised platform. It will be a simple box but you can add these corner stones. Maybe I can make some things to put on them, like statues or lights ...

Next I will cover the texturing. Looking forward to do some Gothic style masonry! :-)

I have completed the texturing of the core building with the details.

This was a lot of fun studying the construction of gothic ornaments.

The easy build is just very plain geometry. You can then add the corner "pillars" and in addition the top pointy ornaments.

Next I have to start thinking about what the platform should look like

Will there be weathered versions of these?

Yes, but I always do the weathering once I have finished everything else. Still in test building phase!

Now that I have the platform textured as well I can start thinking about the fence modules.

I still have to add the weathering layer but I will do that for the final build.

So chapter close, new one opens
