Really a magnificent build...and such realism. Some photos appear like they might have been taken from a drone flying over the actual castle.

Thank you Don

With the parts for bulwark 2, the last part of the castle building is built ... and placed on the defensive wall

There is little vegetation behind the defensive wall ... and with the addition of the defensive wall, the castle is finished, of course the terrain is still missing

Sincerely
Kurt

Hi

With the five square feet under the castle ... I glue the whole model to corrugated cardboard, the edges are only partially glued, because that way I can round off the angular terrain a little later

This picture in the construction description should give me some clues for the design of the site

Sincerely
Kurt

Hi

I prepare the substrate with four layers of corrugated cardboard ... corrugated cardboard cut in stages ...

... make the smooth rocks three-dimensional ... all around the rock blanks are glued ...

... for the bridge I am building a counter slope

Sincerely
Kurt

Kurt, I like what you're doing with the 3D effect. This is really going to look good when finished!

Hello Fred , I will do my best

Now the paper teabag is used ... with which the "rocks" are clad ...

then the rocks are colored with watercolors, first light gray then dark gray, but don't paint but dab, just like Bob Ross did ... then the earth tones

Best regards

Kurt

Hi

Now the grass is being sown ... on the rocks there are still some shades

The bridge made of laser parts ... is fitted with a connecting piece

Sincerely
Kurt

I'm so glad you've done the extra detail on the rocks and grass - left as per the kit that base would be very crude compared to the rest of the model.

I was disappointed to discover that the real castle is now just a few ruins in a nature reserve in the Czech Republic. However some of the photos on the Wikipedia page show an artist's representation which looks a lot like somebody has just photographed this model! If the castle was still in good repair I imagine we'd see it used in Dracula films, Game of Thrones and Harry Potter to name a few.
