Rovers Return

Off and on over the past 3 months I had been working on the USS Maine …which is now sunk in my trash can…just too many mistakes and one major problem that I could not correct. I usually do not give up on these things but I definitely needed a diversion. I may try the Maine again another day.
In the meantime, I have worked on the Kingsway model of the Rovers Return Pub…a free download. Only three pages plus one of instructions. Honestly I do not know the history of this except the notes say it was a pub in “Coronation Street”. Restored some of my confidence. It appears that Kingsway does not use "tabs" as far as I can tell....if they do, it must be sparingly.
My next project will be Bedzin castle which has been laying around in my stack for several years.

Any British member of this forum is familiar with Coronation Street and the Rovers Return

A history is available here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronation_Street

I've always thought of myself as a cross between Roy Cropper and Norris Cole

There's a better model of "The Rovers" available free here :-

Pubs - cardmodelsbytony

This one even includes the back yard, but it hasn't been converted to include the Smoker's Den yet. Suggestion for a Corrie fan maybe?

Lots of other marvelous models by Tony too. Well worth a look through.
