Brussels Grand Place and Town Hall - Makit

After several ships it's time for another architectural model. And it's one I've had an eye on for years - the big Makit kit of the Brussels Grand Place / Grote Markt with the Town Hall and all surrounding historic buildings and streets. This is a reproduction that has been slightly shrunk to fit A4 paper, so I'm not entirely sure of the scale. Still, it will be a big one.

Hello Marco,
definitely another icon! May I offer a suggestion? Somewhere, somewhen I saw one where the builder had cut out all windows and replaced them to create depth. No idea how, but it looked fabulous...
Diderick.

Good start, Marco!

It will be a good-looking cityscape.

Hi Marco,

Fun model to build except for all the dormers on the townhall. Did a build back in March, 2016. (Tried to add the link to the thread but can't seem to get it to work).

Fred, I remember your build. Fascinating model of a very interesting part of Brussels. Good luck Marco with your build, I will be checking in so every now and then.

Regards,
Erik

Dear all, thank you very much! Fred, I was following your build back then, and enjoyed it a lot. I have been checking it again in the past few days.

That's quite some project you've taken on there, Marko. I'll be following this, and I wish you well.
