Kost Castle - Albatros - 1: ?

Hello friends of architecture

My next project is going back to the Middle Ages.

The model building sheet of the Czech Kost Castle from Albatros Verlag dates from 1978. There is no indication of scale.

There are around 80 components on nine sheets of 0.3 mm thick cardboard. The simple hand drawn texture has a certain charm.

The building instructions are written in English, French and German. There is also a small picture assembly instruction with three sketches.

I will design the terrain three-dimensionally.

Sincerely
Kurt

I've not come across this Albatros model before so I'm going to follow this build with more interest than usual. I know you're going to make a beautiful job of it though.

Hi Philip ,

welcome to my new castle construction site

Hello everyone

It starts off very colorfully with the three parts for the base plate... which I put on 0.9 mm gray cardboard

Glue, this creates the floor plan of the castle with terrain.

This is followed by the foundation for the castle itself... which is reinforced with 1 mm cardboard...

... A and E will be installed later so that the adhesive tabs will also be reinforced.

Sincerely
Kurt

I wasn't expecting all that blue. Was that a surprise to you, too?

Hi Vermin King ,

it was not a surprise for me , because it is the underground
a short time later we never see the blue and other colours again

And further ...

Part A1 ... add reinforcements ...

With part A2... the ring is closed...

... which is already very stable.

Sincerely
Kurt

Hello everyone

Three additional reinforcements...and a few more cardboard pieces fix the floor against sagging.

Now place the entire segment on the base plate.

Prepare part B... and attach it to the side.

Sincerely
Kurt
