Hi Dave,

a wondeful model. One can see that paper gets really close to the original craftsman kit quality if - there is a qualified builder.

Thank you for showing this masterpiece

Peter

This is everything a great model should be - not just very well conceived and precisely executed, but with an immediate sense of atmosphere and some subtle humour. There is just the right amount of detail to make the composition work and invite closer inspection than the whole scene. Most importantly, it readily suggests worldbuilding; we are drawn to tell a story about this place and the people who would fill the scene.

Do you give this kind of love and attention to your rolling stock?

Most of my rolling stock is shake-the-box plastic kits. I do weather them with washes and dry-brushing, but I put little, if any, effort into detailing them beyond what comes in the kit. Most of the roster are Accurail or older Athearn kits.

I intend to spend some time detailing my locos to give them a bit of well-used character. And I have plans to build at least one "Waddling Weasel" -- the C&WR equivalent of a "Galloping Goose."
